About neurodevelopmental evaluations

Something feels different about the way your child learns, plays, or interacts — and you want real answers, not "wait and see." A neurodevelopmental evaluation gives you a clear clinical picture of how your child's brain is developing, what strengths they have, and what support they need.

We evaluate children from 18 months through adolescence for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, and co-occurring learning differences. Every evaluation includes a clinical interview with parents, standardized testing, review of school and medical records, and a written report in plain language — no jargon, no confusing numbers without context. Reports are written to meet Florida school district requirements for IEP and 504 plan eligibility, so you can bring them directly to your child's school.

Frequently asked questions

We evaluate children from 18 months through adolescence. Early evaluation — even in toddlers — can open doors to early intervention services that make a lasting difference. There is no minimum age.

School evaluations are designed to determine eligibility for school services — not to give you a full clinical picture. A private evaluation by a licensed psychologist is broader, more detailed, and can be used alongside or in place of a school evaluation to support your child's IEP or 504 plan. It also carries independent clinical weight in school meetings.

That is a personal decision, but many families find that waiting delays access to services that could help their child right now. A free 15-minute consultation with us costs nothing and can help you decide if evaluation is the right next step for your child's specific situation.

Yes — fully. Dr. Diaz is bilingual at a native level. The entire process — intake, evaluation, report, and feedback session — can be conducted in English, Spanish, or both. For bilingual children, we use culturally appropriate testing tools to ensure accurate results.

We do not accept insurance at this time. We are a private-pay practice. Payment is accepted by cash, credit card, check, money order, and Zelle. We can provide a superbill (detailed receipt) for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
